The delegates return home safely over the weekend. This is a picture of St. Theresa’s Catholic Cathedral, Nsukka, Enugu State. Look again at the site plan for the Model School that will train teachers throughout the diocese in educating the hearts and minds of Catholic young people. Watch for the links that you can use to help build this school, and support the education and training of teachers for the hundred schools in the urban and rural areas of this diocese.

In the Archdiocesan narratives about this endeavor I've noticed several items suggesting ways to send $ for sub-projects. However, I've never ever seen reference to the $90,000 received over the past few years from the Congregation of St. Joseph sisters' Generous Promises Grant Fund.
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous, Your observation is quite accurate. The fact that this project even exists in this moment is very much the result of the support of the Generous Promises Grant Fund and the volunteer services of members of their congregation. The Committee of Interest does have in place regular accounting for all monies received and spent on this project. Since it is such a young project, all of its pieces are not in place, and its web presence is quite scattered. If you would like to have a conversation about either the financial state of the project, or if you would like to join the cast of volunteers keeping up the the web presence or sharing your other strongest gifts please contact our local director Esther Hicks,
ReplyDeleteDirector of Catholic School Mission 312-534-5305. You can reply to this comment with suggestions for any of the three websites connected with this project.
